What is in store for SaladMenu?
Although I am sticking with healthy and nutritious cooking, I will be sharing recipes that as a family, we enjoy occasionally from our culture besides salads.
Will you be publishing a cookbook?
A cookbook is something I would love to do someday. I’m definitely planning on it for the future.
Why did you start a food blog?
I started blogging in 2013 while at home with my three little boys. Cooking is something I always do, so I decided to create a place where I can keep all of my recipes in one place, so they will be easy to find when grocery shopping or cooking. After I realized how unhealthy we were eating, I got certified in culinary nutrition and later in plant-based eating, so I began creating healthy recipes and sharing them with you!
Where do you get the ideas for your recipes?
I make up my own recipes, but I get a lot of inspiration from my culture and the salads of my childhood. Sometimes I’ll explore combinations I didn’t think were possible: like my Watermelon Cucumber Salad with Feta!
Which recipes is your family's favorite?

Our family favorite is the Beet Salad with Walnuts, also the dairy-free Caesar dressing!

In your sugar-free diet, do you use any sugar alternatives?

My favorite sugar alternative this year has been honey! You don’t really need a lot of it to sweeten a dish, and it’s very natural.
