During the summer, with hotter weather, light meals are usually what is on the menu. A simple crab salad like this one. You can make it ahead of time and mix it right before it is time to serve. This crab salad is low in calories but filled with protein (if you are using real crab meat, which you should). It makes a great appetizer, after pool snack or maybe even for lunch.

Simple Crab Salad

  • 1 lb crab meat chopped
  • 1 scallion chopped
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 1 stem dill chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
  • salt
  • crackers any that you like


  • Combine all ingredients together.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Serve immediately with crackers.
